Bhasobha — BBR's Safety Awareness Campaign

Bhasobha safety awareness campaign

Bhasobha — meaning “be careful” or “watch out” — is BBR's ongoing safety awareness campaign, reminding every employee that no task is worth compromising personal safety for.

Spearheaded by SHERQ Officer Julian Nkosi, the BHASOBHA campaign brought staff together across departments to reinforce safe working practices, the correct use of protective equipment, and a shared responsibility for looking out for one another on site. The campaign emphasised that no task is worth compromising personal safety for.

Why Bhasobha

01

PPE, No Exceptions

Hard hats, hi-vis gear and correct footwear are non-negotiable on every site, every shift.

02

Look Out for Each Other

Safety is a team responsibility — colleagues are trained to flag risks before they become incidents.

03

Report, Don’t Ignore

Near-misses and hazards are reported immediately, so lessons are shared before they repeat.

Moments from the Campaign

Bhasobha moment 1

Toolbox talks and site briefings gave staff a chance to walk through real scenarios, reinforcing what safe practice looks like in day-to-day operations.

Supervisors led by example, checking PPE compliance and answering questions from teams across every department.

Bhasobha moment 2

The campaign closed with a reminder that safety isn't a once-off event — it's a habit built shift after shift, site after site.

Bhasobha will continue as a recurring initiative, keeping safety at the front of every conversation at BBR.
